Integration with Lotus Notes and Microsoft Outlook

Using Groupware Integration, it is possible to exchange data such as Contacts and Activities (appointments and tasks) between SAP CRM and a Groupware application (Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes). See figures 2 and 3 below.

There are 2 standard integration options available:

  • Server based groupware integration - using the Groupware adapter, data is exchanged between the CRM server and the Groupware server whenever the user is online
  • Client based groupware integration - the synchronisation of the data between CRM and the Groupware application is controlled by the user by means of their individual settings
