UK Food & Drink Industry

The Food & Drink sector is the UK’s largest manufacturing sector, but it is facing pressures as never before. With an ageing workforce and the uncertainty of Brexit, labour and skills shortages are a major problem looming on the horizon, while rapid changes to consumer demands and retail habits are forcing businesses to become ever more innovative just to maintain market share and profitability. And demands for companies to reformulate products to reduce salt, sugar and other ingredients create a whole new set of challenges.

In a hugely competitive and rapidly changing marketplace, where products need to get to market faster than ever before, important software activities need to be performed much closer to home. To find out why Hovis decided to move back on-shore, and why they selected Edenhouse as their partner, download the case study here.

Marstons

ACQUISITION DRIVES TRANSFORMATION PROGRAMME FOR MARSTON’S

Marston’s, the British brewery and pub operator, acquired the trading operations of Thwaites’ beer division in March 2015. Following the acquisition, multiple legacy IT systems were preventing the level of transparency required to effectively run business operations. There was a danger of running at higher operating cost with manual processes and the potential for duplication. Marston’s challenge was therefore to align their existing SAP ERP solution with their acquired organisation to standardise business processes within their common SAP landscape. Read about how Edenhouse worked with Marston’s to achieve a successful integration.
